Department of Information Technology
December 02, 2006
The Lammersville Elementary School District Department of Information Technology currently services approximately 100+ staff accounts and 180+ computers. The DIT maintains security for all computers in the district, ensuring they are up-to-date with the most current security patches, and resolves any software or Operating System issues.
The Lammersville Elementary School saw the addition of 35 new student computers and a server for the computer lab this year, through a generous donation by the Lammersville School Foundation. The lab's outdated Mac computers were sold at Back to School Night to help offset the cost of the new computers. Server-based software allows instructors to track individual progress from any computer in the lab.
The Wicklund Elementary School Computer Lab now has a ceiling mounted digital projector, courtesy of the Wicklund School Foundation, allowing instructors to demonstrate from one computer rather than each individual screen.
