Explanation of Markings and Standards Levels:
1= Below/ Below the grade level standard/Does not meet standards
Below and far below the grade level standard. The student does not meet or demonstrate proficiency in grade level standards. The student does not grasp or apply the key concepts, processes, or skills for grade level proficiency.
2=Basic/ Approaching the grade level standard
Approaching the grade level standard. The student is beginning to meet and demonstrate proficiency in grade level standards. The student, with errors, attempts to grasp and apply the key concepts, processes, and skills for grade level standards
3= Proficient/At the grade level standard
At the grade level standard. The student consistently meets and demonstrates proficiency in grade level standards. The student grasps and applies the key concepts, processes, and skills for the grade level standards.
4= Advanced / Above the grade level standard
Exceeds the grade level standard. The student meets the proficient criteria and completes project based and/or challenge work that extends the depth and/or breadth of their learning.
