Music Notes:
Lammersville Music Classes, for students in grades 5 – 8:
1. Choir – for students in grades 5 -8, boys and girls, no experience necessary! Choir rehearses on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 1:15 - 2:10 pm. If you love to sing, join us!!
2. Advanced Band – for students in grades 6 – 8, who have played a Band Instrument for one or more years. Advanced Band rehearses on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday form 2:10-2:55 pm. Hope to see everyone returning! Any instrumental students new to Lammersville, please see Mrs. Watson for a private placement assessment.
* Sign-up forms for Advanced Band and Choir will be sent home on Thursday, August 14th and they are due back, no later than, Wednesday, August 20th.
* Advanced Band and Choir will begin on Wednesday, August 20th
3. Beginning Band – for students in grades 5-8 who are interested in learning to play a Band Instrument. No prior knowledge necessary. There will be an Instrument Demonstration and Sign-up Assembly on Tuesday, August 19th, at 2:00 pm, in the Lammersville Cafeteria. All interested students will need to attend the assembly. You will need to provide an instrument for your child for band. After all the sign-up forms are completed and returned, I will confirm the student’s instrument choice. Please don’t rent or purchase an instrument in advance of this notification. On Thursday, August 28th we will have an Instrument Rental Night, at 7:00 pm, at Lammersville School, in Room 13. Please come prepared to pay for the first and last month’s rental towards your students instrument. You will receive a more detailed letter regarding Beginning Band, if your child decides to join the Band. Beginning Band will not start until the first week in September.
