Principal's Message

Dear Parents,

It was wonderful to see so many of you at Back to School Night!  I hope you found the evening to be both informative and enjoyable.  We are committed to providing each of your children with the highest quality education and look forward to working together in partnership with you.

Thank you to everyone who has returned their child’s emergency update forms and other important forms that were included in the 1st day packet.  If you have not yet had a chance to do so, I encourage you to read through the Parent/Student Handbook with your child.  There are many important school policies that you will want to be aware of and rules that are important for all students to know.  

During these first two weeks of school, many programs and activities have gotten underway here at Bethany.  Our music programs have started and students are excited about singing and playing their instruments.  We are also gearing up for volleyball season for our 5th-8th grade students.  Mr. Sauerwald will be coaching the JV team and Mrs. Morgan will coach the Varsity team this year. Try-outs will be held from 3-4pm on Tuesday 9/7 for JV and Wednesday 9/8 for Varsity.  Both teams will be co-ed and games will begin on Tuesday 9/28.

Our first school-wide fundraiser started yesterday and will run through Tuesday, Sept. 15th.  Students in grades K-8 have the opportunity to sell items from QSP’s Home and Gift Collection.  Money earned from this fundraiser will go directly into our student body funds and will benefit students at all grade levels. Participation in this fundraiser is not required by any means, but we encourage students to participate if their parents approve.

Please watch for the Bobcat Bulletin to come home every other Friday with your child.  It is a very important home/school communication tool and one that is also available to view online at www.lammersvilleschooldistrict.net.  Just click on the link to Bethany School!
