Mountain House High School Building Expansion
We are excited to announce that this past month ground was broken on a construction project to expand classroom space at Mountain House High School. In total, 15 new classrooms, along with five offices will be built. Included among the classrooms will be a biology lab and a chemistry lab. The project was approved by our forward thinking Board of Trustees in 2023 as the school district continues to build upon its state of the art academic programs.
These classrooms will support the school district’s offering of a seven period day- which allows participating students an opportunity to take an additional academic class on their school schedule; approximately 70% of the student body take an extra elective, CTE course, AP class, or academic offering as a result. Additionally, the two building expansion will play an important role in absorbing growth in the community as additional Master Plan villages are planned to be built.
This will be the third phase of construction at Mountain House High School:
- Phase I (2012-2014)- The administration/classroom wing, Multi-Purpose Room (MPR), two gymnasiums, stadium, and fields.
- Phase II (2016-2018)- The Learning Commons, Theater, Professional Education Wing (CTE), Aquatic Center, and tennis courts.
- Phase III (2023-2025)- 15 additional classrooms (13 classrooms, biology lab, and chemistry lab).
