Curriculum and Instruction Department

Lammersville Unified School District (LUSD) is the highest performing school district in San Joaquin County with some subgroups outperforming overall county and state proficiency levels on CAASPP and CAST.  Students must receive excellent first-time instruction, intervention, strategic support and remediation to ensure mastery of grade level standards each year. For this to occur, LUSD teachers must have excellent curricular tools, and a method for tracking student progress to effectively work with peers to meet the instructional needs of students. In order to do this, LUSD staff takes part in extensive review procedures when adopting and approving programs, initiatives, and contracts. A Board Presentation was given on June 21, 2023, to explain this process and could be viewed through this link.

The Team:

Our Assistant Superintendent and coordinators are a team with a passion for education. They provide leadership and support to ensure the district’s curriculum and instruction programs run smoothly, with the help of the administrative assistants.

The coordinators create the best content for teachers. They guide instruction using small group strategies, blended learning, and engagement techniques. Coordinators meet with teachers one-on-one and visit classrooms to support best practices and the use of technology. The team is always motivated to achieve excellence and have fun.

We can ensure our students make progress every year, graduate prepared to succeed, and build a strong future for themselves, the community, and the country when students, parents, and teachers work together toward shared goals.
