Community Facilities Districts (CFD)

CFD

Over the last 20 years, the School District has seen substantial growth as over seven thousand new residential units were constructed in Mountain House, creating a demand for new schools and School District administrative facilities. To help finance the new schools and facilities, the School District formed several CFDs. Annual special taxes are levied on property within the CFDs to pay debt service on tax-exempt bonds that were sold to fund the new schools and ensure that capacity in Mountain House schools would be available as new students are generated.  The CFD special tax is included on the secured tax bills issued by San Joaquin County. All new developments within Mountain House will pay a share of the elementary school costs either by creating a CFD or contributing the funds needed up front through other financing options.
