Information and services help to eliminate barriers and increase student attendance.  Below are resources for students and families as we work towards positive attendance for all students.

Attendance Works is an action research project, moving vertically from local environments to national policy-making. Working in over two-dozen school districts, 32 states and in collaboration with 70 national organizations, Attendance Works uses continuous quality improvement to evaluate gaps in knowledge and capacity building. Constant assessment of interventions leads to updated and new tools and approaches in reducing chronic absence.
 
2-1-1 San Joaquin (211SJ) is a collaborative effort of health and human service providers, state legislators, local government representatives, and county residents. Its purpose is to make it easy for people to find the help they need, when they need it.
 
Discovery ChalleNGe Academy is a partnership between the California National Guard and San Joaquin County Office of Education (SJCOE) for youth between the ages of 16 and 18 who have dropped out of high school, are at-risk of dropping out, or are credit deficient.
 
FREE Mentoring and supportive services provided to youth ages 16 to 25 utilizing the Transition to Independence (TIP) Model. Services include case management and goal setting related to – education, parenting skills, social supports, physical health, community engagement, employment, financial planning, emotional wellbeing, and housing.
 
Sow A Seed Community Foundation is to empower youth and their families with the education, programs, and resources needed to overcome social and emotional challenges so they can lead healthy, self-sufficient lives. Services include: prevention and intervention assistance, educational programs, leadership training, and community support.
 
Come Back Kids (CBK) is a free, mostly online education program that is offered through the SJCOE's County Operated Schools and Programs Division that can help anyone 18 years and older earn their high school diploma.
