Benefits of Becoming a Substitute Teacher
Make a Difference
You don’t need to be a full-time teacher to make a difference in the lives of our students. Children need to have positive role models in their lives, and it only takes one moment to make a lasting impression.
Choose Your Schedule
As a substitute teacher, you can work when you want, where you want, and for as long as you want. If you have other commitments, work another job, or need to take care of your family, subbing can fit easily around your schedule.
Boost Your Teaching Skills
With the variety of assignments, you can hone your skills as an educator, gain more ease in front of the classroom, and get the experience you need to meet any teaching challenge.
Prepare for a Permanent Position
Substitute teaching is a great steppingstone to become a permanent teacher. You will gain experience in each of the schools you work at and build crucial relationships with fellow employees and students. Reaching out to other teachers for support, advice, and guidance can be a great way to expand your skills.
