ELOP Attendance

Absence report

ATTENDANCE

Families who enroll in ELOP are expected to have their child attend on a regular basis.  ELOP is not a drop-in program that can be used as a temporary or intermittent option for childcare.  In addition, it is essential that children are dropped off and picked up in a timely manner.  Children who are regularly absent, dropped off late, or picked up late will be subject to dismissal from the program.  If a student is picked up at any time during the ELOP day, they may not return to the program later that same day.  Students absent from the program due to school related extracurricular sports or activities will be considered excused absences.  Participation in outside extracurricular sports or activities is not considered an excused absence.  Other regular absences must be approved through the ELOP office.

Please note the following attendance policies:

School Year Program

  • ELOP Aides will meet students on-campus directly at the end of their school day.
  • Pickup time each day is between 4:50 p.m. and 5:05 p.m.  Picking up students any earlier will be considered an early pick-up.
  • Any combination of five (5) early pick ups or  or Five (5) late pick-ups may result in dismissal from the program.
  • Five (5) unexcused absences from the program will result in dismissal from the program. (Students in extracurricular sports or activities are considered excused.)  Other regular absences must be cleared through the ELOP office by reporting them HERE.
  • Early Pickup from the program can be made by visiting the main office of the school and checking out your student through the office.  To ensure student safety and minimize disruptions, parents/guardians must remain off campus and are not allowed to go to classrooms for pickup at any time.  Due to school office closure at 4:00 P.M. each day, no early pickup is available between 4:00 P.M. and 4:50 P.M.

Summer Program

  • Drop-off time starts at 7:30 A.M. and ends at 7:45 A.M.  Students who arrive after drop-off time are considered late.
  • Pickup time each day is between 4:15 P.M. and 4:30 P.M.  Picking up students any earlier will be considered an unexcused early pick-up.
  • Any combination of two (2) late drop-offs, two (2) early pick-ups, or two (2) late pick-ups may result in dismissal from the program
  • Five (5) unexcused absences from the program will result in dismissal from the program. There are no excused absences for vacations or holidays during the summer program.  Students may only be excused for illness or medical appointments, and absences must be reported through the ELOP attendance reporting found HERE.
  • Students who are invited to participate in the K-8 Summer School program or the Special Education Extended School Year Program will be required to participate in that program during the morning session of ELOP.  If participation in these programs is refused, the student will be dropped from the ELOP summer program.

If you wish to withdraw your student from the program, you must contact the ELOP office at [email protected]
