Spelling Bee

Lammersville Unified School District students from grades 4 through 9 have the opportunity to participate in the district spelling bee each year.  The spelling bee test is first given to students in September in their classroom.  Classroom winners then move on to the site level spelling bee in late September.  School site winners then move on to the district spelling bee.  The winners of the district spelling bee then compete at the San Joaquin County Office of Education for the county-wide title.  Students who win at the county level then move on to the California State Spelling Bee.  

 

We encourage families to visit the San Joaquin County Office of Education spelling bee website to access word lists and rules.  

 

Dates for the 2024-2025 Spelling Bee Competitions can be found below:

 

September 16th-September 20th - Lammersville Unified Classroom Spelling Bee Window (Check for

specific date with school site)

September 24th Lammersville Unified School Site Spelling Bee

October 15th Lammersville Unified District Spelling Bee at the MHHS Multi-Use Room

3:45pm Check-in

4:00pm Competition Begins

December 2nd Grades 4-6 Final Round at the County Office of Education

3:30pm Check-In

4:00pm Competition Begins

December 3rd Grades 7-9 Final Round at the County Office of Education

3:30pm Check-In

4:00pm Competition Begins

Saturday, April TBD State Competition at the County Office of Education
